Mr. Stringer is the Chief Instructor for Stringer and Associates, Inc. He has been working in the Private Security Sector since the 1987s as a Security Specialist and is a certified Firefighter/EMT and Arson Investigator. He has trained civilian, military and law enforcement personnel in the use of firearms, impact weapons and defensive tactics since 1992. He has received firearms training and specialized defensive tactics instruction from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Shootrite Firearms Academy, Range Master, Glock and many other training organizations. Mr. Stringer has been through instructor training programs from the following organizations: National Rifle Association (Firearms, Personal Protection and Safety), ASP Tactical Baton, Glock Firearms, Suarez International and AHA Basic Life Support Instructor. He has studied various forms of martial arts since 1978 (Shao-Lin-Ryu, Tang Soo Do, Shao-Lin Kung Fu, Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu and various forms of Aikido) and is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Goshin Jutsu Ryu and a 7th Degree Black Belt in Shao-Lin-Ryu Karate. He has served as active duty U.S. Air Force; this coupled with his Public Safety/Private Security background experience has helped him develop training for high stress and life threatening situations. His professional personality and affirmation to provide the best training in the business allows him to provide an excellent and dynamic style of training.
In September 2005 after many years of advanced weapons and self-defense training Mr. Stringer founded Shin-Go Do. SGD is dedicated to the traditional ways with a modern out look at today's environment in which we live in. We have adopted these modern concepts and training techniques and blended them together with the traditional ways of those who came before us in order to teach a more rounded and modern form of Martial Arts.
